Ronald Bilius Weasley (March 1, 1980). Was born to Arthur Weasley and Molly
Prewett Weasley, the sixth of their seven children, and the youngest son. He has
five older brothers, Bill, Charlie, Percy, twins Fred and George, and a younger
sister, Ginny.
Ron grew up in the family home, The Burrow, near the village of Ottery St.
Catchpole in Devon. The family is poor but extremely close-knit. Ron is
conscious of his lack of money and he feels frustrated by his family's modest
life style. However the Weasleys are an old and well-known pure-blood
Wizarding family.
He have the mark of the Weasley family, shining red hair and blue eyes; He's
tall, thin, with freckles, a long nose and big hands and feet. His middle name is the
same as that of a deceased uncle, who is mentioned in Prisoner of Azkaban as
having seen a Grim and died shortly thereafter.
He is terrified of spiders, as seen in the Chamber of
Secrets. He is an excellent Wizard's Chess player, and has some knowledge
of Wizarding law, thanks to his father's position.
Following the footsteps of his brothers Ron is becoming the sixth Weasley to
attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1991. Ron and Harry
met on the platform 9 3/4 waiting for the Express to Hogwarts. Once there was sorted and belongs to Gryffindor
house. There knows Hermione Granger and they become his best friends. He plays a
key role in many of Harry's adventures. Usually he receives a small part of the
recognition, while Harry's fame almost always puts him at the centre of
attention. This sometimes creates a rift between the two friends. But he won a
Special Award for Services to the School in his second year.
The magical abilities of Ron are average, do not excel nor fail in any
specific subject, although with the Harry's help it seems to have good practice
in the defensive magic. Ron have earned 7 O.W.L.s by Astronomy, Care of Magical
Creatures, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts , Herbology, Potions and
Transfiguration and he failed with Divination and History of Magic.
Ron has a sarcastic sense of humour, and often has difficulty taking anything
seriously. Generally good-natured, sometimes emotional and impulsive. His
immaturity, and his lack of subtlety, forms a contrast with Hermione, who
describes him as being "an insensitive wart", we can see this reaction
particularly evident in his attitudes with the girls and the Cho and Harry's
relationship.
Ron seems to be interesting in Hermione, possibly a romantic relationship,
but for now it's in the arguing and teasing stage. He was highly annoyed when
Hermione went to the Yule Ball with Viktor Krum, but it never took the time to
invite her and he ended up going to the Ball with Padma Patil.
Ron is an avid Quidditch fan and his favorite team is the Chudley Cannons, his bedroom at the Burrow (an attic room at the top of the stairs) is
plastered with posters of the team. Ron's broom, however, like everything else
he owns was a hand-me-down Shooting Star. In August of 1995, however, Ron became
a prefect and was rewarded by his mother with a new broom, a Cleansweep
Eleven. That fall he tried out for the Gryffindor Quidditch team and was
made Keeper.
Ron and Hermione and a group of other students they formed a group to study
Defense Against the Dark Arts from Harry during his fifth year. As a member of
Dumbledore's Army, as they called themselves, Ron fought in the Battle of
the Department of Mysteries. He was wounded in that battle and spent some days
in the Hospital Wing recovering afterwards.
